Bike For Mike

The Fluke Transportation Group assisted with transporting 400 bikes to Queen Mary School in Hamilton, Ontario on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.

Mark Chamberlain, through the community organization Bike for Mike, donated the 400 bikes to poverty stricken youth. Mark’s son, Mike Chamberlain, was an avid bike rider. Sadly, Mike died on May 29, 2010. Mike had a dream of making Hamilton a more cycle-friendly city. The Chamberlain family and friends have created the Bike for Mike community organization to help recognize Mike’s dream.

"Fluke Transport was honored to be part of Bike for Mike this year, providing transportation of the new assembled bikes to a local school here in east Hamilton. The recipients are chosen by the local school and not only do the children receive new bikes but the parents as well, promoting community and well-being. A big thank you to Mark Chamberlain and the many organizers, donators and volunteers for promoting this event. It was a huge success!" said Kevin Hagen, Vice President, Fluke Transportation Group.
